Upcoming BlackBerry devices 2012 / 2013: phones & tablets

If you are one of the BlackBerry faithful out there you are probably wondering just what Research In Motion has up their sleeve for 2012 and 2013 in the way of new devices. Well we have a little info on what you can expect from the RIM camp this year and into 2013 as their roadmap for the next 15 months has now become available.

According to the guys over at the Boy Genius Report, RIM plans on releasing BlackBerry 7 legacy devices for global and emerging markets during the run up to the first BlackBerry 10 devices being launched in the fall.

So here’s what is known, over the next couple of months Research In Motion will put out two new BlackBerry Curve smartphones the BlackBerry Curve 9230 that will be an EDGE device and the BlackBerry Curve 9320 which will bean HSPA handset.

Although not confirmed, the word is RIM will deliver a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet with NFC, HSPA+ 42Mbps and a 1.5GHz processor sometime around May or possibly June.

Word is Research In Motion’s BlackBerry London is still on track for launch in September, and apparently there is a new BlackBerry 10 handset in the making that will be part of the BlackBerry Bold range with a planned December release and features a touch screen and QWERTY keyboard.

Lastly, sometime in Q1 of 2013 RIM will deliver a BlackBerry 10 QWERTY slider handset, but other than that no details are available.

So as far as the guys know that is what you can expect to come out of the BlackBerry camp over the next 15 months, so do any of these devices get you excited?

Blackberry should really get a good camera like 8MP also with better lens something what samsung or apple uses, good battery backup like 2500mAh+, the Torch 1 and 2 were sensible models with full touch and Qwerty. the push mail works best in blackberry, Androids and iphone do offer but only for limited servers like google and exchange, Blackberry rocks, I hope they soon get a 1.6Ghz Quad, with 10% bigger screen and rest it will still be able to dominate the market.. They better do it soon..

Can blackberry see reality of competition ? If it refuses to see then its curtains for them and all we BB loyalists stand betrayed by RIM. Get one good touch and one good touc, type slide with a 8mp cam an super improvement on torch 1 & 2 and BB will be sailing the high seas again. Dont test the patience of BB loyalists. Is some one in RIM listening?
