Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx sub-$300 and Jan 26th: Update

If you have been waiting to get your hands on the next RAZR smartphone from Motorola on the Big Red, it appears that Verizon has now gone all official with the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX letting everyone know just when they will be able to purchase the new Android handset and just how much it will cost you.

According to the guys over at Engadget, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX will hit Verizon store and online as of the 26th of this month, so that is tomorrow, where you will be able to snap up the Droid RAZR MAXX for $299.99 on a new two-year agreement.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Droid RAZR MAXX is in line to receive an update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at some point after release but Motorola and Verizon hasn’t given any date for when that will happen.

Spec wise I a sure you know, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX offers much the same as the original Motorola Droid RAZR but with the addition of 4G LTE connectivity and a rather hefty 3300mAh battery to handle all that 4G.

Of course those that purchase the Droid RAZR MAXX will require the usual Verizon Nationwide talk plan kicking off at $39.99 a month along with a smartphone data package starting off at $30 a month for 2GB of data.

So there you have it, will you be picking up the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX from Verizon as of tomorrow?

Just got this phone on the 26th and I love it. It is smooth and beefy enough to hold on to now that the hump in the rear is gone. The battery life is amazing lasting almost 24 hours with the help of some smart actions I have created that turn cell data off when WIFI is present. Overall a heck of a device. I can’t wait for ICS.
