Online gaming Xbox Live to iOS?

In the gaming world there are two camps where gamers like to hang out. On one side is the Playstation 3 crowd, and on the other are Microsoft’s Xbox followers. Today however, we are talking about the Xbox brigade and the possible good news for Xbox Live.

According to a report from Pocket Lint, Microsoft could be extending its online gaming platform to other devices. A quote from a spokesperson stated: “While the Xbox Live experiences and games always work best on the Windows platform, we understand that some Xbox fans may be using other types of devices. To satisfy that need, we are working to extend a few of our Xbox experiences and titles to other platforms.”

This could mean that an introduction to Android or iOS could be possible, even Mac OS X could join the party. At the moment Windows Phone users are the only ones able to access Xbox Live to get their mobile gaming hit, but with the likes of Kinectimals landing on iOS along with My Xbox Live app appearing, the introduction of other devices seems a strong possibility.

Whichever way it turns out, Xbox Live device extensions can only be good for the Microsoft brand. Give us your thoughts on Microsoft’s plans?
