KDDI Infobar C01 Japanese beauty releases tomorrow

We recently reported that the KDDI Infobar C01 Android smartphone would soon be seeing the light of day over in Japan, a candy-bar form factor handset that sports Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a heavily customised user interface, and word is the smartphone is to see release in Japan as of tomorrow.

According to the guys over at The Verge by way of KDDI, the Infobar C01 launched in Japan on the 3rd of February, so those in Japan that wish to snap up the Android handset can do so as of tomorrow; however still no word on just what the KDDI infobar C01 will hit the pocket for.

Spec wise the Infobar C01 offers the customer a 3.2-inch 854 x 480 resolution touch screen along with and 8 megapixel CMOS camera, CDMA/GSM/GPRS, digital TV tuner, infrared, e-wallet function, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR, and USB and microSDHC ports.

Unfortunately though unlike many Japanese handsets of late the KDDI Infobar C01 isn’t WiMAX enabled and nor is the device a waterproof handset but the device does measure 130 x 52 x 12.3mm and weighs in at 106 grams.

Apparently though according to the guys if you are in Japan and want the KDDI Infobar C01 you’ll need to grab it quickly as the matching leather case that comes with the device is limited to 1000.
