Droid 4 available for purchase on Verizon

If you are one of the Android faithful over the pond in the good old US of A and have been patiently waiting for the Big Red to release the Motorola Droid 4 for purchase, Verizon previously announced the device would be made available as of the 10th of this month and the Big Red have kept to their wor, as the Droid 4 can now be purchased via Verizon.

According to the guys over at Pocket Now as of right now the Android faithful that wish to own the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread smartphone can grab the Droid 4 from Verizon stores and via online at a price of $199.99 on a new two-year term or $549.99 without commitment.

Furthermore if you would also like to purchase the Motorola Droid 4 compatible Lapdock 500, the accessory is also available to purchase both online and in Verizon stores commanding a price tag of $299.97.

However, if you thing that 200-buck asking price is a bit steep and would prefer to grab your Droid 4 for a little cheaper, Wirefly are offering the Droid 4 on Verizon for $149.99, or if you prefer to shell out even less you can nab the Motorola Droid 4 on Verizon from Amazon who are offering the device for sale at just $99.99.

Quick spec reminder, the Droid 4 offers a 4-inch qHD touch screen, 5-row QWERTY keyboard, 8 megapixel rear facing camera, 1080p video, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 16GB internal memory and microSD expansion up to 32GB, and will be updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

So with all that said and done will any of our readers be rushing to snap up the Motorola Droid 4 today from Verizon or will you opt for that cheaper price?
