At the beginning of next week, one of this year’s events the MWC, is due to kick off in which we will get to see a whole range of forthcoming devices, one of which is the LG Optimus Vu with a view to it releasing officially in South Korea next month. With some stiff competition already out there from Samsung’s new Galaxy Note smartphone come tablet device, we wanted to know whether you think the new Vu stands any chance?

Previously here at Phones Review, we’ve given you a rundown of the Optimus Vu’s specs of which we can tell you will include a 5-inch display with a 4:3 ratio, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, LTE, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, NFC along with a 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP to the front, new ‘QuickClip’ hotkey for capture of memos and screenshots and 2,080mAh sized battery.

Although the Vu in appearance is thinner and holds a bigger processor than the Galaxy Note, as cnet.com stated, the Sammy device does win hands down with a slightly bigger 2,500mAh battery, something of which consumers often look for when purchasing a new device.

If you’re wondering out of interest what the Galaxy Note packs, then we can tell you that the new addition holds a 5.3-inch display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, LTE, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS along with the same sized 8MP camera. Both devices we have to point out include a stylus for writing and drawing.

In terms of operating system, its been reported that the LG Optimus Vu will benefit from the new ICS 4.0 OS in the next two or three months, so this will put it on par with the Galaxy Note.
