Making Android better with Free Caller ID

If you are one of the Android faithful out there that sometimes gets pestered by phone calls from those you don’t know and would like to be able to see the ID of who is calling and or block those unwanted calls there is an app available that delivers visual caller ID along with one-click blocking, and that app is called WhatAreYou — Free Caller ID.

Basically with the WhatAreYou — Free Caller ID app for Android when a call comes in the app rapidly accesses a reverse lookup database of some 200 million numbers and then shows a window showing the number, the city and state of who is calling and if available their name.

The user can of course send the all direct to voicemail or answer the call but with the WhatAreYou — Free Caller ID app you also get the ability to block the call and any more future calls from that particular number.

Other features of the WhatAreYou — Free Caller ID Android app include the ability to automatically play “out of service” messages to unwanted callers before hanging up, control how caller ID appears to WhoAreYou and YouMail users, use YouMail contacts and other info, connect to Facebook to control how your caller ID appears, and customise the caller ID pop up.

So there you go, for those that would like to take advantage of what the WhatAreYou — Free Caller ID offers Android users, you can download the app to your chosen device running Android 2.1 or above as a free download from the Android Market.
