Feb 2012 Verizon Wireless LTE outage, did you suffer?

It would appear that the Big Red seems to be experiencing quite a few outages recently the most recent of which was back in December with LTE services being out for a day, followed by a second outage that lasted several hours, and it appear that Verizon has now had yet another LTE outage yesterday.

According to an article over on Business Week, Arizona, California and Wisconsin customers reported that disruption in service began early on the 22nd of Feb to the Verizon 4G LTE online community; however apparently the issue has now been resolved.

Verizon spokesperson Tom Pica said that Verizon began receiving complaints on the 4G LTE outage at roughly 6:30am New York time, and announced that the LTE service is now fully restored whilst 3G services along with calls and text messaging were not affected.

It wasn’t stated just how long the 4G LTE outage lasted for and apparently the Big Red hasn’t come forth with any reason as to why the outage occurred.

So we’d like to hear from any of our readership over in the good old US of A that are on Verizon’s 4G LTE network to let us know if you suffered from this latest outage and if so how long was it down for, so feel free to let us know by dropping us a line to our comments area below.

For all the money Verizon smart phone users pay this continual outage is totally unacceptable. Verizon should refund or reduce the monthly bill if they have an outage as a gesture of good will.

I live in Taunton MA and have been w/ out service for two days. When I call in I get a recording stating they have a higher than normal call volumn and leave a message. No call back for 2 days. Not so happy Rob Anderson
