Choose carrier plans via Apple Store app 2.1 update

There are a number of useful applications on both the Android and iOS platforms that can save us both time and money. Today we have an application for you that has recently been updated, which allows users to choose carrier plans for three US networks.

The free application has just received the update treatment and aids users to choose what carrier they want to use when purchasing an iPhone, and as an article on Cnet is reporting allows them to directly change billing and shipping information from within the application itself.

Customers of Apple who like to purchase their products via the iOS Apple Store application will favor some of the updates with the app. Now users in the US who are planning on purchasing a new iPhone can pick a price plan for the device from US carriers AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless.

Users also have the ability to manage their accounts from within the application, without the need of logging into the Apple website as before. Apple is also celebrating the opening of a new retail store in Amsterdam by making the application available to iOS users in the Netherlands.

It was back in November that Apple last updated the application by adding a couple of big enhancements, which included the ability to collect products ordered online from users local Apple Store, as well as paying for items in the store direct from the iPhone.

This latest version of the Apple Store requires the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running iOS 4.3.3 or later. Unfortunately there is currently no iPad specific version available from Apple. Users that have already been using the application have been giving it favorable reviews. To download the application head over to the App Store.
