InfoSonics verykool S700 Phone running Android 2.2 Froyo

It appears there is a newcomer into the Android smartphone arena in the United States, with San Diego based tech maker, InfoSonics stepping into the Android mobile space with their very first Android offering, a smartphone they have decided to call the verykool S700, albeit when it comes to Android the handset is somewhat lagging behind.

According to the guys over at Androinica by way of Market Watch, the InfoSonics verykool S700 is actually an Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone, which one does have to say is somewhat behind in the Android operating system stakes.

Spec wise the InfoSonics verykool S700 offers a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen along with a 2 megapixel rear facing camera and VGA front facing camera, customised user interface, 2GB onboard memory, FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi.

The InfoSonics verykool S700 has a candy-bar form factor and measures 117 x 65 x 12.7mm with a weight of 110 grams, and is an entry-level low range smartphone but does offer dual SIM compatibility (3G/2G) along with a 1400mAh battery and microSD expansion up to 32GB, and of course access to Google Play.

As for when anyone will be able to pick up the InfoSonics verykool S700, well apparently the Android device is available right now, but as yet there is no word on just how much the device will sat anyone back, that is of course if anyone really wants this rather unimpressive Android handset.
