BB10 BlackBerry Blade concept a stunner

Most know that BlackBerry maker Research In Motion is falling behind their rivals and having quite a hard time keeping up with the likes of iOS and Android that continue to eat into RIM’s market share. However, Research In Motion hopes to pull back some of their former glory when they finally release their new BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

The problem with RIM is that their BlackBerry smartphone designs have become somewhat bland, but with a little creativity perhaps RIM could turn things around, such as the concept design for the BlackBerry Blade, which comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Ubergizmo and by way of Crackberry.

The BlackBerry Blade concept has been designed by design company Pixelcarve, and one does have to say that this concept BlackBerry handset does look stunning, and if the BlackBerry Blade ever made it to the mobile space would come running Blackberry 10.

Spec wise BlackBerry handset would offer a 4.5-inch 720p AMOLED touch screen along with a 12 megapixel rear facing camera, 1080p video, a 5 megapixel front facing camera, Adobe Flash and HTML5, a 1.5GHz quad core processor, microVGA, microHDMI, microUSB, 4G LTE, and microSD expansion.

The BlackBerry Blade concept would feature an aluminum and acrylic housing along with Gorilla Glass and a slight curved form factor with a slide up touch screen to reveal that familiar BlackBerry keyboard.

Current speculation is that the BlackBerry London will be RIM’s first BlackBerry 10 smartphone to come out and play, but would you prefer a device like the BlackBerry Blade to be RIM’s first BB10 handset?

I’m a Big BlackBerry fan I can’t wait for a new BB. We don’t need physical keyboard. This was good 5 years ago. Completely touch screen is much better. This is the future. I want more screen so please 5-inch it’s what we need. I saw BB London and this BB Blade. The Blade is the best. London look like a Samsung. Samsung and Android are very miserable so we don’t need to copy those. About camera 12 megapixel is what we need.
Please a better Browser . I have a BB Torch 9850 I love it. But when I browse in Internet through WI-FI in my house or in some store the phone is ok. Using the carrier connection I have hard moments. Please a better browser. Thank you

What IS IT THAT YOU LOVE about Blackberry? Is it the camera? which is no good in most models, or no better than any Samsung’s, which by the way has its most basic one with 5MP and flash (blackberry’s mid-high range phones)
      2. Is it the phone menu and accesibility? The option to control your phone’s every function with a Menu Button. Sure, and Samsung doesn’t have that.
      3. Is it the browser? Of course, since blackberry browser is the best in the market. Or at least in the blackberry market, because you can’t use most others? You should try Samsung’s different options Firefox, Dolphin, Chrome, Opera, and even the basic Sams2ung Browser.
      4. Blackberry messenger is very mediocre, whatsapp will absolutely get the work done
      5. Needless to say, the apps. Im just not gonna enter this subject because it will be eternal. And im not even an android user anymore. But i have been in Blackberry for 4 years, Android for one and IOS until today and trust me, there is nothing blackberry can do that Android hasnt done before or couldn’t do in the future if they felt like it. Goodbye

i would love to see this phone become RIM’S first bb10 handset. it stands out from every other phone i have ever seen, ever, period. it looks futuristic and i love it, the curve is perfect, everything about this phone is perfect! RIM needs to make this, i would buy it in a heartbeat. it’s soooooooo amazing almost to good to be true.

It looks the business love the slight curve (round the corners slightly as it could dig into hands and tear pockets) I like the aesthetic I hope it does what it alleges and if so could bring BB back from the brink. Glad to see they seem to be moving away from so many low budget variations on a theme. When is the UK release date.
