Samsung Galaxy S3 UK launch not quite yet
We recently reported that a Phones4u store on Oxford Street, London, had put up a large poster which showed the Samsung logo along with the caption ‘Coming 30/3/2012’, and this lead to the speculation that the much anticipated next Android smartphone from the Samsung camp, the Samsung Galaxy S3 would see launch in the UK on that particular date.
However, that isn’t the case as according to the guys over at Pocket-lint, that Phones4u poster touting that Samsung 30th of March date actually has nothing to do with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S3 much to the dismay of the Android faithful.
What that Samsung 30/3/2012 date is actually for, as confirmed to the Pocket-lint guys, means a Samsung store within a store is launching, in this particular case a Samsung store within the Phones4u store on Oxford Street, and that store is currently undergoing refurbishment.
So basically Samsung will be opening a Samsung store inside Phones4u on the 30th of the month, and will not be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S3 on that date, which means there will still be somewhat of a wait before the Android faithful can actually get their hands on the Galaxy S3, and this should then quell all the rumours of an end of month release.
Disappointing I know, but there you have it, no Samsung Galaxy S3 UK launch on the cards just yet, but hopefully we will see the Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone arrive early in April, are you eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Galaxy S3?

Not really disappointing. There was no way phone would have come out this early, fake hopes, never accepted it.
The earliest we can expect the S3 as stated by Samsung themselves is July in time for the olympics. Anything else is just fan based rumours.

Ah well, my SGS 1 will still serve me brilliantly until THE superphone of the year eventually drops.
No way am I buying some other brand that looks great at the moment until the S3 is released and I’m kicking myself for not waiting.

by then… who knows what will have been released 😉
Am at end of contract and S1 is developing “mental health” problems. Badly need to upgrade to S3! Spoke to TMobile who said that they would not be offering S3 until September. Just spoke to Phones 4 U in Brent Cross who said that S3 not out until May. Please dont make me go to the dark side. I dont want an iPhone but I dont know how much longer I can hold out!
Don’t do it!! I’ve had an iphone 4 for 18 months now and after less than 9 months got bored with it and wanted an Android.
Jail breaking it has made it slightly more appealing but also makes it prone to crashing
As soon as the S3 comes out I will make a decision on which Android phone I will be buying.
mmmmm…only women and children buy iphones. Just chill your boots, get yourself on a cheap, rolling monthly, simplicity contract and wait for that little bundle of Samsung joy to hit the market. You know it makes sense!!

Not getting an htc one x they look awful never liked htc phones and my gf has a iPhone 4s and I hate it got an iPad and iPod touch 4th gen for making music and messing around to many restrictions on the iPhone will wait for the s3
