Pair app is a great utility for couples

We often bring readers details of new apps we think they will enjoy or that are useful but today’s featured app is a little different. This one is for those couples enjoying the rosy glow of love and wanting to keep that sparkle in their relationships for as long as possible and it’s for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Many of us can remember those early heady days of being in a new relationship and the Pair app (link here) is a lovely way of making the most of those special days. It’s a free app and is available for iOS devices running 4.0 or later. This new update, version 1.0.6, brings an improved secure PIN and also better loading speed and provides a nice way of connecting with that special someone by sharing messages, photos and more.

The two of you can create your own unique timeline, posting videos and messages that are just for your eyes and nobody else’s. Chat to each other to your heart’s content, share the little things that mean a lot, let your partner know you’re thinking of them and also share your location with the Pair app. If you have Facetime accounts you can also video chat from within the app and if you happen to be online together at the same time you can sketch and doodle together.

Also you can set up reminders for special occasions such as your loved one’s birthday or anniversaries but because love isn’t all about roses and champagne you can use the app for the more mundane things in life as well, such as sharing a shopping list. Every aspect about your own unique relationship with your loved one can now be kept privately in one place.

For those of you who are real romantics (although some may feel it’s a romance step too far) there’s a ThumbKiss feature. Some will love this idea while others will think it’s incredibly corny but basically the ThumbKiss allows you to touch your screen where your partner is also touching the screen, followed by a vibration on both phones. Awwww…or not!

Jesting aside this is a really neat, nicely put together app so head to the link above to download it or find out more. Let us know what you think of the Pair app, or maybe you have another romance app that you can recommend by sending us your comments?

I can load PAIR to my iPhone. When I invite my wife’s LG Android, she gets to enter her email and password. The message is always “INVALID ID OR PASSWORD”.
    Can anyone help?
