Steve Jobs biopic film starring Ashton Kutcher

Apple’s huge success has continued these last few months with record sales of its flagship iPhone device along with the launch of the latest version of the iPad last month, which has led to a record share price for the company. A lot of the company’s success can easily be put down to one man’s work, the late Steve Jobs, who unfortunately was taken from this planet too soon last year.

Steve Jobs was taken from this world on October 5th 2011 aged only 56 after bravely battling cancer for a number of years. He was probably best remembered for his tireless work in turning Apple around to become the company we know today, and oversaw the development and release of Apple products such as the iPod, iPad, iTunes, iMac, and of course the iPhone.

He’s legacy at the company will probably live on forever and not long after his untimely death we saw the release of the Steve Jobs Biography by Walter Isaacson, and now thoughts again turn to a movie about the man. It seems that the Steve Jobs biopic film will have actor Ashton Kutcher taking the lead role as Steve Jobs according to an article on The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is being financed and produced by Five Star Institute’s Mark Hulme, and Joshua Michael Stern is thought to be starting principal photography in May. Meanwhile Ashton Kutcher will be taking an extended break from the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men to star in the move, and will be a natural to play Jobs as the two men have a striking resemblance.

It seems this project will get going before Sony gets its act together with their own Steve Jobs biopic, as the company purchased the rights to Walter Isaacson’s biography late last year. Do you think Ashton Kutcher is a good choice to play Steve Jobs?
