Top 5 Productivity Apps for the iPhone 4

With the convergence of computers and mobile devices, mobile phones have quickly shifted from being a basic piece of technology with limited functionality to portable, feature-packed computers known as smartphones. The iPhone 4, specifically, has had a slew of productivity tools built for it.

If you have an iPhone 4 and want to boost your productivity, these are the top five can’t-miss apps to get the most out of your device.

Splashtop

If you do work that involves needing to move files between your computer and your iPhone 4, you have no doubt come across a situation where you need a file from your computer but it’s nowhere nearby. Instead of starting from scratch or abandoning the whole project, just use Splashtop. This useful app lets you stream your computer’s desktop to your iPhone. It gives a fast and intuitive interface for interacting with your computer, and it ensures that you’ll never be stranded without an important document again.

Evernote

Cloud computing has been in the news a lot over the past year, but Evernote’s take on cloud computing is a little different. Evernote is a cloud-based platform for taking notes. The app lets you create notes on your iPhone or computer and access them via the cloud. Evernote supports all memos, voice memos, pictures and anything else you might use as a note, so you’ll never lose a great idea again.

1Password

Passwords might slow down productivity more than anything else. There’s nothing more frustrating than needing to remember and manage the username and password of every individual account. 1Password lets you enter your credentials for just about anything you need login credentials for, such as email and bank accounts. You can even create shortcuts to get to specific websites, so you’ll jump instantly from the app to your account without having to input any information.

Gmail

Yes, you can use Apple’s own Mail app for a Gmail account. It doesn’t give access to all of Gmail’s features, though. This can be a problem if you use the Gmail platform for most of your emailing. That’s why Google’s Gmail app is a great choice for productivity. It will reduce the amount of time you spend performing minor tasks, making it well worth the switch in the long run.

Documents to Go

A tried-and-true pick for productivity, Documents to Go functions like Microsoft Office for your iPhone. You can create, edit and share documents in a user-friendly interface. If you use any of the programs in the Microsoft Office suite on your computer, you owe it to yourself to get Documents to Go.

The iPhone 4 is a solid device on its own, but its power is really unlocked when you begin to add apps to it. With these apps installed on your smart phone, you’ll find that the work you do on your device is faster and better than ever.

  1. Hey thanks for sharing this. These 5 Apps are very interesting. .
“Evernote” is really a very interesting App. Its features like: Record Notes,
save notes in Voice and Text form are very interesting. Via these features we
can record, process data at any time. “1Password” is also very interesting App.
1Password provides us the benefit of Portability, Secure Storage, Improve our
memory, etc. But by 1Password we can lose everything in one go if our master
password is weak. Overall I believe the pros
outweigh the cons. “Documents to Go” is very helpful application. By this we
can create, share, and edit documents.
