iCarbs, iNutrients and Carbohydrates health & fitness app

James Hollender, an Indie developer has now announced a major update the his health and fitness iOS application iCarbs — iNutrients: Carbbohydrates, an ioS app that lists the bard contentof in excess of 1100 differing foods that have been broken down into 7 categories or complete alphabetical list.

The 3.0 update to iCarbs — iNutrients: Carbohydrates now enables the user to create custom serving sizes for any item, and has a faster startup, and is an invaluable application for body-builders, diabetics, dieters and anyone that wants to monitor their carb intake, and is now a universal app.

The iCarbs — iNutrients: Carbohydrates app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple iPad also offers 3 differing types of lookup, search, category or alphabetical whereby the user can enter any search term to query the 1100 entries, and uses can search alphabetically through 7 categories including Meat, Fish and Shellfish, Fruits and Veg, Fast foods, Sweets, Cereal Grains and Pasta, Dairy and Eggs, and Snacks.

With the iCarbs — iNutrients: Carbohydrates app the user can customise, lookup and record their daily carbs intake, view the comprehensive database of foods based on the USDA National Nutrient Database, and edit for number of servings, the date, and delete records.

The iCarbs — iNutrients: Carbohydrates iOS app features colour codes entries that are Black extremely high in carbs 45.01 — 166.46g, Dark red very high in carbs 30.01 — 45.00g, Red high in carbs 15.01 — 30.0g, Orange moderately high in carbs 12.01 — 15.00g, Yellow moderate in carbs 9.01 — 12.00g, Yellow-Green moderately low in carbs 6.01 — 9.00g, Green low in carbs 3.01 — 6.00g, Cyan very low in carbs 0.01 — 3.00g and white extremely low in carbs 0.00g.
