True or false game of T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note

While all the Samsung talk in recent weeks has been about the next Galaxy smartphone from the company, whether it’s about pre-orders or teaser videos, there are many consumers who have the Galaxy Note high on their wish lists, and now there is talk of the device closing in for a release on T-Mobile.

The guys over at TmoNews have been sent some interesting Android screenshots that are being claimed to be from a T-Mobile Galaxy Note that is floating around in the wild. Some may view the screenshots to be fake but the leaked Android 4.0 build for the AT&T Galaxy Note has a build number of IML 74K.144, which shows the build date and it’s the 144th custom build.

Meanwhile the SGH-T879 has the same build number as it was built via the same sources at the same time, which means it is the sibling to the AT&T Galaxy Note. The build servers and time stamp compare favourably with Samsung’s build information. This is then meant to be an official build because the number is suffixed with the baseband version instead of a decimal number showing a custom build that voids the warranty.

This pattern remains the same when looking at the build numbers for the official ROMs from the manufacturer for its Vibrant handset along with the Galaxy S II, Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and the Galaxy S 4G. Also the images have been scaled down from 800 x 1280 and they match up what is known for the Samsung TouchWiz Android overlay that is used for Android ICS.

Obviously as always the information needs to be taken with the usual pinch of salt, but hopefully the Galaxy Note will soon be hitting the T-Mobile network. Have a look at the image below and the others via the link and let us know if you think they are true or false.
