Unlock activation tickets with RedSn0w 0.9.10b8

If you are one that has tinkered with their iPhone and jailbroken the iOS smartphone, you might like to know that the iPhone Dev Team have now released an updated version of RedSn0w that now supports backing up the activation tickets resulting from SAM unlock.

According to the guys over at iDownload Blog the updated version of RedSn0w is version 0.9.10b8, and rather than having to go in manually to backup your activaion tickets, you can now use the option found in the updated RedSn0w.

According to the iPhone Dev Team site, RedSn0w 0.9.10b8 offers the ability to backup arbitary directories or files from your device to a zip file on PC or Mac, and the new button is Extras>Even More>Backup, but it does require you to have jailbroken your device with the afc2 service enabled.

Basically users can now backup arbitary directories, and RedSn0w by default will back up the var/root/Library/Lockdown that is required to preserve activation tickets.

Apparently the full download for RedSn0w 0.9.10b8 can be found inside along with all the tool’s release notes, and it will be interesting to see what else the iPhone Dev Team have to say about SAM unlock once they reveal more.

But for those that wish to grab the RedSn0w 0.9.10b8 version you can download the OS X version from Here, or for the Windows version from Here, and of course if you do, feel free to let us know how you get on by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
