Watch free UK TV with English Premium iOS app
If you’re a fan of UK television then we have some good news for you today with the arrival of a new iOS app that offers free UK viewing from any country in the world following the purchase of the app. This almost seems to good to be true but we’ll give you the gen and you can take a look for yourselves.
The app is called TV English Premium developed by iOS Premium and the price is currently only $0.99 for a limited time after which it will cost $3.99. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPads running iOS 3.2 or later, this app should be hugely popular but the fact that the app is available so cheaply may ring alarm bells with some and we wonder how this has been managed.
TV English Premium (iTunes link here) also offers features such as Timeshifting, which means you can control live TV by pausing channels and resuming play later so you don’t have to miss a thing. Also if you have Apple TV then the AirPlay option allows users to stream channels from your iOS device to your TV. Over six dozen channels are available although we wouldn’t describe them all as ‘premium.’ Some of the channels are regular BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5’s but there are many more and you can see them listed in full at the iTunes link above.
A word of warning though. Although this app only costs $0.99 so you haven’t a lot to lose by trying it out, the iDownload Blog discusses this app and say that although they’ve tested it and it does indeed work (although sometimes buggy) they feel it’s possible the app will be pulled by Apple because of its dubious nature. Also we’ve noted that customer reviews below the app details are less than glowing.

All it really does for me is knock me off my WiFi connection and tell me that I need an Internet connection (I have broadband cable with wifi and 3G through Sprint).
I got it on my 3g and it says “This movie format is not supported.”
Where did Sky Sports 1 go to ?? Had it on Sunday 22nd April. Not here now !!

That app is no longer available in the app store. I only just purchased it and it’s no longer available before I even tried it.
Too bad. Â Installed it this morning and it worked a treat. Â I was goggling at the great speed and picture. Â This afternoon it is gone. Â I knew it was too good to be true 🙁

No longer works. Â Got it this morning, watched one show… perfect picture, no buffering, excellent stream. Â Now not working at all.
Sky sports 1 is gone…eurosport still available but really there is nothing here worth watching
The app has been pulled from the NZ Store just after i got it this morning.
I bought it yesterday and all it has done it keep saying it is loading channels, glad it was only 99 c, too good to be true…

Refund!
It is still streaming all the UK Freeview channels but none of the HD content that was there at start up. Streaming at the moment is perfect @ 08.55 UK time.
When I first downloaded I watched most of the Man U v Everton on SkySports in HD ( but had to go out, so missed ManU being stuffed. Pity! ). And watched an HD film later.Â
I reimstalled the app on my iphone 4. all de SD Channels doe not work no connection!. but all the HD Channels Work perfect ,HISTORY,COMEDY,BBC,SPORT,CINEMAX,,MGM,NATIONAL GEOGRPHIC
I bought this app and it kept freezing up after 30 seconds. then about four hours later the app kept crashing every time I try to load it. Then I deleted it and tried to download it again from the App Store. now it doesn’t exist………Refund!!!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I had the same happen to me. Ripped off. I would have rather given my .99 cents to a homeless person. All purchases obtained should get a refund? The developer must stand by their app otherwise more flyby apps will appear make lots of $$$$$$ then they are removed. What a quick way to earn money….where’s our refunds??
