O2 UK boarding the Samsung Galaxy S3 ship

Let’s face it, much to the chargrin of the iOS faithful, the mobile space isn’t just all about what the next iPhone or iPad will be, but currently the more popular talking point in the mobile space is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, and over here in the UK obviously the next Galaxy is going to be offered to customers, and obviously more than one UK carrier will offer the Galaxy S3.

So with that in mind, according to the guys over at Slash Gear, Vodafone have already said they will offer their customers the Samsung Galaxy S3, UK carrier O2 has now boarded the Samsung Galaxy S3 ship by announcing via their Twitter account that they to will offer the Galaxy S3.

O2 UK tweeted…”Excited about the next Samsung Galaxy? So are we — that’s why it’ll be coming to O2!”

Considering O2 also offered the original Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy S2 it is fairly obvious that O2 would offer the latest Galaxy flagship handset, so shouldn’t really come as a big surprise to all in the UK, as I’m sure O2 knows what their customers want.

As for just what the Samsung Galaxy S3 will actually offer, well thus far it’s all been rumour, and there has been a rumour that the Galaxy S3 will be just an incremental upgrade, but if the spec rumours turn out to be spot on one can expect a 1.4 GHz quad core processor, a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Play touch screen along with 12 megapixel rear facing camera.

As Vodafone and O2 have now announce they will offer the Samsung Galaxy S3, we would expect it is only a matter of time before T-Mobile, Orange UK and Three also jump aboard to next Galaxy ship and announce they will be offering the Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset.

Are our UK readers getting excited over the Samsung Galaxy S3 launch getting closer?
