Temple Run for BlackBerry is Tomb Escape

As I’m sure you know when it comes to mobile apps, usually the iOS platform gets them first whilst over platforms have to wait, much like Android had a long wait to see Temple Run become available, and BlackBerry also had to wait quite some time for their version of Temple Run to become available.

However BlackBerry hasn’t really gained the real Temple Run but rather a mobile game called Tomb Escape from SolverLabs, as as I’m sure you know Temple Run is from Imangi Studios, but Tomb Escape closely resembles the Temple Run game acording to the guys over at Crackberry.

Tomb Escape is for the BlackBerry Torch 9810, BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Bold 9930, and the Porsche Designed P’9981 handset, and as with Temple Run, when playing Tomb Escape you are running from your ape pursuers, jumping and sliding over objects and gaps and turning corners all whilst collecting coins and power ups along the way.

Tomb Escape doesn’t play as smoothly as Temple Run on the iOS platform or Android platform, but the guys do say that the game is on par with other BlackBerry games out there in terms of responsiveness, and apparently the BlackBerry app has now been updated with trackpad support and the ability to tilt your device to move the player.

We have a couple of Tomb Escape videos for your viewing pleasure below, both showing you a little bit of the Tomb Escape for BlackBerry gameplay, so head on down and hit those play buttons to check out the footage, and if you wish to download Tomb Escape the game is available for free from BlackBerry App World.
