Only yesterday we gave you news of what could be the release date for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G, and the fact that some accessories that included an extended battery had already been made available for the handset, even though no official availability of the device has been announced. Today we have some news about the Otterbox Defender case for the HTC Incredible 4G LTE.

The release of the device must only be a couple of weeks away now considering the amount of accessories becoming available for the handset, and the team over at Droid Life have spotted an Otterbox Defender case for the device and its retail packaging.

Previously it was thought the Incredible 4G LTE would be released on April 26th but obviously this has been and gone, and yesterday’s news tipped the date to be May 10th. Earlier this year Verizon released the Motorola RAZR MAXX and the Spectrum, but nothing of any significance has been seen since, so the handset must be due any day now.

The Droid RAZR HD is expected at some point but the Incredible 4G LTE is expected to arrive before then. Just to recap the highly anticipated new handset from HTC features a 4.3-inch qHD LCD display, 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, 4G LTE, NFC connectivity, and 1GB of RAM.

There is also 8GB of built in storage that can be expanded thanks to the SD card slot, and the device has been likened to the HTC One S except the screen, NFC, LTE, and expandable memory. There will be many Android fans awaiting the arrival of the latest HTC smartphone, but the lack of official a release date will be frustrating.
