At the moment many people are focused on the 2012 NFL Draft and there are some excellent tracker apps available. We’ve rounded up some of the best for both the Android and iOS (iPhone) platforms so nobody needs to miss out.

If you want to download any of the following apps then simply click on the title links and you’ll be taken straight to Google Play or the App Store. We’ll start with a couple of Android apps, the first of which is NFL ’12 developed by NFL Enterprises. This is a free app suitable for handsets running Android 1.6 or later and is a highly-rated app. This app makes it easy to follow the NFL Draft and key features include a live draft tracker, push notifications by team, player and by round, draft news and also video highlights. Another version (here) is available for Android tablets.

Another Android app offering is Pro Football Draft Insider from Pro Football Weekly. This is also a free app and compatible for devices running Android 2.1 or later. Pro Football is one of the most known names for NFL news and offers insider information and insights. This app will give you breaking news, expert analysis, player perspectives and what’s going on behind the scenes before it makes the headlines. In fact Pro Weekly has been awarded two Emmys and over 100 awards for reporting and is an influential and proven source for NFL news and insider views.

Moving on to iOS apps the first option we have for you is Draft Pik 2012 — Pro Football Mock Draft and Player Database, developed by Hoop.la. This app is compatible for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 3.0 or later and is priced at $1.99. Features include all the 2012 NFL draft information plus you can create your own mock draft to share with friends. Draft information includes detailed player profiles including articles, videos and Twitter feeds where available. You can also mark favorites and receive notifications when drafted. There’s a huge amount more with this app including team info, expert picks, and live news and on draft day users can view picks live as they happen.

Finally another iOS app is Football Mock Draft HQ by Boardgame Media for $1.99. This one requires iOS 4.0 or later and is for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. This one is all about Mock Draft of course and enables any user to create and share picks for the Pro draft. You can also check out football drafts from fans across the world, all with an enthusiasm for fantasy football. If you think you can do a better job with drafting than the professionals then why not give this one a go.
