BlackBerry 10 gaining 11 Gameloft games such as NOVA 3

In the last few days BlackBerry maker RIM has been showcasing its upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system, which the company are looking to for an improvement in sales and market share. It has now been announced that BlackBerry 10 will be gaining 11 Gameloft games such as NOVA 3 among others.

In an official press release Gameloft has revealed a line up of eleven games that will be launching on the BlackBerry 10 platform, and the titles are going to be optimized for the upcoming platform using the Blackberry 10 Native SDK. The games hitting BlackBerry 10 include the likes of N.O.V.A 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Ice Age Village, Oregon Trail: American Settler, and Shark dash.

Vice President of OEM at Gameloft, Ludovic Blondel, said that the company is “thrilled to be able to bring some of our most popular titles to the BlackBerry 10 platform”, and added that users of the platform can look forward to a number of quality games with “an improved gaming experience all around”.

Blondel continued that the upcoming platform is allowing game developers to bring “a high performance mobile gaming experience for customers”. The titles have been designed to make use of key BlackBerry 10 features that include the Scoreloop social gaming tools and multiplayer functions.

The games will be priced from free up to $6.99 per app, and when the platform is launched N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Oregon Trail: American Settler, Shark Dash, and Ice Age Village will be available on the BlackBerry App World. The rest of the line up have not been revealed by the developer yet, but expect this to change as we get nearer to the platforms launch.
