No HTC One smartphones for Verizon: disappointed

For those over in the good old US of A that may have been hoping Verizon Wireless would deliver the HTC One range of Android smartphones to their customers, it appears that Big Red customers are out of luck when it comes to the likes of the HTC One X, One S and One V, as they wont be getting their hands on the handsets.

According to the guys over at Phone Arena by way of Android Authority, Jeff Gordon, a spokesperson for HTC has apparently gone on record as stating that the Big Red will not offer either of the HTC One devices that are currently announced.

So it would appear that Verizon will not release the HTC One X or HTC One S on their network, but there is no word on whether the same will apply to future released HTC One handsets.

Apparently those Verizon customers that want to play nice with Android Ice Cream Sandwich on an HTC device will have to opt for the recently announced Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, which will become available quite soon both online and in Verizon stores.

The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE does offer a 4-inch Super LCD qHD touch screen along with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, 1080p video, a front facing camera, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, mobile hotspot capability, 8GB internal storage and microSD expansion up to 32GB and sports a 1700mAh battery, and Android 4.0 of course.

So we’d like to hear from our readers out there if you think Verizon should offer the HTC One range of smartphone to their customers, or if you feel the Big Red has made the right choice in not opting to offer any HTC One handset, feel free to voice your opinions to our comments area below.
