File Manager Total Commander download for Android
There’s great news today for plenty of people who’ve been waiting for the desktop file manager Total Commander app to make it to the Google Play Store, as it’s now available and ready to download. The good news goes on as the Total Commander Android app features all three plugins, FTP, LAN and WebDAV.
For many people Total Commander for Android has been a long time coming after first being previewed last July by developer Christian Ghisler who developed the popular Windows application. Until recently it seemed that the Android Total Commander may never appear on Google Play but Ghisler eventually confirmed it was indeed on its way after deciding to deal with potential support issues, such as the task of dealing with comments for a free app.
News that Total Commander for Android v1.0 is now available from Google Play comes to us from Android Police and you can find it at Google Play here. The free app is compatible with devices running Android 1.5 or later and some of the main features include Copy, Move whole subdirs, Inplace rename, create directories, Delete (no recycle bin), Zip and unzip, unrar, Properties Dialog, change permissions and Built-in text editor.
Other highlights include Search Function, Select/unselect groups of files, Select by tapping on file icons, List of installed apps, Root support for main functions, Send files via Bluetooth, Thumbnails for pictures and Two panels side by side or virtual two panel mode and much more. Twenty languages are supported for the main program including English, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean and others and a simple help function is available in English, Russian, German, Ukrainian and Czech.
Although the app only became available yesterday, so far it has a 5-star rating and user reviews are extremely positive. Have you been waiting for Total Commander for Android? If you have already tried it out let us know what you think of this new app by sending your comments.
