Galaxy Nexus Paranoid Android CM9 Hybrid ROM

As Android Ice Cream Sandwich is an operating system that has been designed to play nice on both smartphones and tablets, there shouldn’t be any real reason why you can’t toggle between layouts, and developers are continuing to make the Samsung Galaxy Nexus a nice device for everyone, and now there is a mod available called Paranoid Android that can make that layout toggle happen.

According to the guys over at Droid-life by way of RootWiki, the Paranoid Android CM9 Hybrid ROM is an ongoing developer project that will transform your device whilst retaining the aesthetics and experience of your handset, and the ROM strives to drop your phone into tablet mode, and reshape and redefine Ice Cream Sandwich to deliver the best of both worlds.

The Droid-life guys say that this Paranoid Android ROM is not some ‘cheesy tablet mode,’ where it only shifts the notification bar to the bottom of the device, but it is rather the actual two column layout that one would see on an Android slate.

With the Paranoid Android CM9 Hybrid ROM obviously there are still a few drawbacks such as the fonts are too small so you will need to hit up system settings and set your fonts to huge, as this will help a great deal.

Anyway for those Android faithful out there that would like to give their phone a makeover and play around with tablet mode, you can grab all the necessary along with instructions by hitting up the RootWiki website, and if you do feel free to let us know how you get on.
