Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Motorola Droid 4 soon

If you happen to be over in the good old US of A and are one that owns a Motorola Droid 4 smartphone, you are no doubt still patiently waiting for Motorola to get round to updating your Droid 4 to the latest Google Android operating system, Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, although there may be still some time to wait until the Motorola Droid 4 see that Android Ice Cream sandwich update, according to the guys over at Mobile Bloom, old Motorola has finally got round to updating the status as to when such Motorola devices will gain the ICS update.

Unfortunately that status update is somewhat vague and doesn’t actually deliver a hard and fast date for when Android Ice Cream Sandwich will hit the Motorola Droid 4.

The guys say that they see the Motorola Droid 4 in the development stage and that the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the smartphone has a ‘probably’ roll out schedule set for the third quarter 2012.

Thus it would appear that those that own the Motorola Droid 4 still have a couple of months before being able to play nice with the Android 4.0 operating system on their device, that is of course if Motorola does deliver the update on schedule and doesn’t shift the goal posts.
