Google Search app for iPhone is sweet

There’s good news today for those who use the Google Search app for iPhone as the app has just been updated to version 2.0.0 adding some very sweet enhancements. Google Search 2.0 features a completely redesigned interface with full-screen image search, faster results and more.

One of the main differences users will notice with the revamped Google Search is a much faster autocompletion of search suggestions so that now with each letter you type search predictions will come up instantly. A slide-in panel meant that looking at multiple pages is easier and users may also notice that the loading of pages has become quicker. A swipeable menu enables quick swiping between web pages, search results and search modes. Also a tap on the magnifying glass on the bottom menu option makes it easy to find text within a webpage.

Changes to image searching also makes this much easier. At the bottom of a search results page the user simply needs to tap the image button to show a beautiful array of high-resolution images. Users can then tap an image for more details, swipe between images or browse them by scrolling down the full-screen grid. It’s also easy to share images with a friend by simply with a simple tap and hold on the image, or save it to use as a wallpaper.

Finally it will now be much easier to access all of your Google services, as all of the apps will now be gathered in one place. Once signed in it won’t be necessary to sign in again making it much faster to get to the apps you need. If you want to check out the latest version of Google Search for iOS head to iTunes here.
