Many people will have family gatherings this weekend, or make visits to cemeteries or memorials and on Memorial Day itself it’s traditional to fly the US flag at half mast between dawn and noon. Many American flags will also be laid on graves in national cemeteries. According to timeanddate.com the day was originally called Decoration Day and honored those who died in the American Civil War. It’s a very important time then to honor those who have died in military service and the following apps may help you out.
