HTC One smartphones to be PlayStation Mobile certified

During the E3 conference in L.A, Sony has confirmed that they have signed HTC to their PlayStation certified program, a program that will mean some PlayStation games will come to the HTC One range of smartphones so their Android handset owners can get their gaming action on with such PlayStation games as Crash Bandicoot.

According to the guys over at Pocket-lint, the lineup of HTC devices that will gain PlayStation certification includes the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V, although Sony nor HTC have stated on whether other HTC smartphone will also benefit from PlayStation certification.

Furthermore apparently Sony has decided to change the name of their PlayStation Suite and will hence forth be known as PlayStation Mobile whilst positioning it as a new platform.

The chief production officer for HTC Corps, Kouji Kodera has said that “ HTC is focused on delivering innovative mobile experiences for people everywhere and SCE’s immersive world of gaming will bring compelling entertainment to HTC One customers across the globe.”

HTC has become the first partner outside the Sony Mobile Division that will offer PlayStation compatibility, and Sony has confirmed they will accelerate the expansion of PlayStation certified devices, along with continuing to collaborate with content developers to deliver compelling entertainment experiences via PlayStation Mobile.

So there you go, does HTC One smartphones gaining PlayStation certification make you want to own an HTC One smartphone more now, or aren’t you too bothered whether a handset is PlayStation certified or not?
