Vodafone Smart II Android PAYG phone pocket delight

For those Android faithful over here in the United Kingdom who prefer to own a smartphone on Pay As You Go rather than on contract, Vodafone has now built on the success of the Vodafone Smart, Vodafone has now made the Vodafone Smart II available, and affordable Android handset for first time smartphone users.

The Vodafone Smart II handset outperforms the original Vodafone Smart in every way yet retains the low price point required to appeal to people thinking of stepping into the smartphone space for the first time.

The Vodafone Smart II offers the user a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen along with a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Google Maps navigation, 150MB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The Vodafone Smart II measures 109 x 58 x 12.35mm with a weight of 120 grams, and comes supplied with USB cable, headphones, a 2GB SD memory card, access to the Google Play store, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Facebook, Twitter, and features the Swype keyboard.

Owners of the Vodafone Smart II can also take advantage of Vodafone Freebees that give a choice of free minutes, texts or net access or international calls, and also is automatically opted in to Freebee Rewardz, whereby when a user tops up their device with £5 they get a code to exchange for an instant reward or save the points towards a bigger reward.
