ICS HTC Desire C landing in India

The latest entry level Android smartphone from the HTC camp, the HTC Desire C recently became available in the United Kingdom, and following the UK it appears that the HTC Desire C is preparing to land over in India in a couple of days time, and has apparently already shown up on online retailer Buy the Price.

According to the guys over at Unwired View by way of AndroidOS, the Indian retailer, Buy the Price has the HTC Desire C up for sale with a price tag of INR 14,229, which is roughly $256, and apparently claim they can deliver the Android Ice Cream sandwich smartphone as of Friday the 15th of this month.

However, on checking the Buy the Price website, I could find no indication that the retailer was offering the HTC desire C in India, so it would appear that the retailer has removed the listing until further notice, so perhaps the HTC desire C isn’t going to be available in India just yet, we’ll have to wait and see.

For the Indian Android faithful that might be interested in picking up the HTC Desire C, the smartphone offers a 3.5-inch HVGA display at 320 x 480 resolution, a single core 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, 4GB of on board storage, 512MB of RAM, five megapixel camera, microSD card port, 1,230 mAh battery, Beats Audio technology, and the HTC Sense 4.0, and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and 25GB of free Dropbox storage for 2-years.

  1. seems to be a good lightweight phone. Only gripe is that the quality of the pictures are not sharp most of the time…auto focus plm I dont know…I’m told by shop to get a more powerful phone but this should not be happening. it doesnt matter wherether its 3mp or 8mp, it should have been sharpish. Note there is NO led flash so useless in a disco or dim place.
