Three UK Euro Internet Pass brings unlimited data on the go

When many of us go on our travels if we use our smartphones for various reasons we can often be met with an expensive bill the following month, but today we have news of Three UK and their Euro Internet Pass that brings unlimited data on the go.

The carrier is looking to offer a better deal to its customers while travelling through Europe, and as TNW are reporting Three has today announced its new Euro Internet Pass, which is a new roaming plan that will provide users unlimited Internet access for £5 per day on its pay monthly tariffs.

This new deal will allow its customers to connect to their favourite social networks and do a number of other Internet based things without the worry of incurring high roaming charges while travelling abroad. As it is suited for web browsing Three are saying that mobile streaming will not be reliable as it is at home, so unlimited tethering plans are not transferred.

If you are a Three customer and you reach a supported European country you will receive a text with a link that will take you to the Euro Internet Pass sign up page. Then to activate it users have to switch off push notifications and turn on roaming before hitting the link from the SMS message to purchase the pass.

Once it has been activated users will have until midnight that day until you have to activate it again, and if you need it as soon as you reach your destination users can get access it here and buy it before leaving the UK. The link is free to access while abroad but if you visit any other sites without the pass you will be charged £1.28 per megabyte.

The countries that are part of the deal include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal (incl. Azores & Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (incl. Balearic & Canary Islands), Sweden, Vatican City, Monaco.

If you only need a data connection for a couple of days this deal could work out cheap, but for longer it may be better getting a local SIM or using a dedicated data service. Mobile costs are set to become cheaper following European Union roaming price caps, and recently O2 revealed a roaming plan for its customers.

Do you think this is a good deal?

I’m a three customer and just received my email, this is amazing as I’m going away in a couple of weeks to Spain and been looking around for the best deal but couldn’t find anything.

Without this plan I would of been charged about £2.60 to check Facebook ect now I can do as much as I want for £5 without thinking its going to cost an arm and a leg
