Huawei Ascend P1 Euro pricing revealed release date MIA

Fans of the Android platform are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing new hardware be it tablet PCs or smartphones, and we are seeing more devices being released from other manufacturers that may not be household names, but are still offering some worthy handsets. Today we have news that the Euro pricing has been revealed for the Huawei Ascend P1, but the release date is still MIA.

The handset is believed to be hitting the Euro region anytime now and in the meantime we now have a rough idea how much it will cost us, as an article over at TechRadar is reporting that the handset has gone up on a couple of websites.

Amazon Germany and Italian website Unieuro has the handset available with prices quoted around the £365 or €450 mark. While these prices are not set in stone as there has been no official word yet from the company, online retailers can often prove an accurate guide to official prices of new hardware.

For your money though the handset has a lot of offer against the competition, as it features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. There is also an eight megapixel rear shooter all squeezed into a nice slim body that only measures 7.69mm thick.

Upon its release the Huawei Ascend P1 will be going up against the likes of the Sony Xperia S and HTC’s One S, and will come before the company’s flagship smartphone the quad core Ascend D Quad, which is thought to be arriving later this year.

Huawei refused to comment on the availability of the Ascend P1 or the pricing level of the handset, but they did reveal that some review units will be landing before the end of the month. Do you like the look of the Huawei Ascend P1?
