HTC One S hits India with changed processor

As we reported a few days ago, the HTC One S smartphone was expected to be released in India on the 15th of the month, and right on schedule, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset is now available to purchase in India, although with a change in processor, swapping out the 1.5MHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor in favour of a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 chip.

According to the guys over at Phone Arena by way of AndroidOS, the HTC One S in India commands a retail price ranging from INR 33000 to INR 36000, roughly 600 to 650 bucks, whilst this places the Indian variant of the HTC One S lower than the Singapore model which also has the Snapdragon S3 chip and commands a price tag of S948, which is roughly $750 US.

For those over in India who have been waiting to get hold of the HTC One S, you might have forgotten what the ISC smartphone offers, so here’s a quick reminder…a 4.3-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass qHD touch screen, that 1.7GHZ dual core S3 processor, 8 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with LED flash, a VGA front facing camera, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD expansion, HTC Sense 4.0, Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, a 1650mAh battery and is just 7.8mm thick.

So there you have it, those Android faithful in India can now pick up the HTC One S, as long as you find that asking price attractive of course.
