Close-up Droid RAZR & MAXX ICS update video

We’ve been bringing you developments regarding the Android 4.0 ICS update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR Maxx on Verizon for some time. Finally after several false alerts we told a few days ago how Motorola had now officially stated that the Ice Cream Sandwich update was beginning to be rolled out. Today we thought that many of our readers might appreciate a close-up video look of Android ICS running on the Droid RAZR MAXX.

Although the ICS update is now being distributed there are plenty of people who still haven’t received the update for their device yet as the rollout is still ongoing and hasn’t generally hit the public just yet. If you’re one of the many waiting we’ve got an in-depth video look of ICS so you can get some idea of what it has to offer and make the most of ICS when your device finally gets hold of it.

We’ve previously shown readers some shorter official taster videos of ICS from Motorola but the video we have for you today is a much more comprehensive overview and as ICS is a pretty major change it makes sense to be prepared. It comes courtesy of Droid-Life and you can see the almost 18-minute close look at Android 4.0 ICS running on a Droid RAZR MAXX below this story.

Motorola actually contacted Droid-Life and handed them a RAZR MAXX pre-loaded with ICS and the result is the in-depth video below. By the way if you’re waiting for the update one thing mentioned on the video is a date of June 27, which sounds promising and is now only a day away.

Take a look at the video below and tell us what you think of Android 4.0 ICS. Are you still waiting for your taste of ICS and itching to get the update? Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who have received it and are still getting to grips with it? Let us have your comments on this.

This must have been the first time you’ve had a Razr in your hands….ever.  There’s a lot of stuff on the phone that was already accessible even with Gingerbread, i.e. swapping apps on bottom tray of home screen & selecting all apps, downloaded, groups, etc. from apps menu.

Horrid??? You’ve got to be kidding…as a matter of fact..if you wanna go back…go back to the store and trade in your razr for a samsung!

Still nothing yet… I’m hearing people that didn’t sign up for the soak test say they’ve gotten it already. So how are they choosing who gets it first and who doesn’t?

Anybody that would get the iphone or galaxy phones over the razr is stupid. I have personally had all 3 and the razr by far is the fastest and has the best data connection. If you download a app called skyvi the voice interaction is better than suri on the iphone.
