HTC dangles Droid Incredible 4G LTE looming release

We know there are plenty of people waiting for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE to release on Verizon and over the last week or so we’ve brought readers news on a few occasions about a possible launch in the first week of July. Today we can tell you that a release next week seems virtually assured following HTC dangling a teaser about the Droid Incredible 4G LE.

We’ve previously reported that the Droid Incredible 4G LTE was expected in June but was pushed back to July and then most recently we told of a leaked Verizon document that suggested a July 5 release date and also a price of $199 on the usual two-year contract. However that release info so far has been from leaks whereas the new information we have has come directly and officially from HTC. To be accurate the details don’t precisely mention the Droid Incredible 4G LTE but we reckon the way the teaser is worded makes this virtually a done deal.

HTC US has now posted a tweet saying, “Next week we’ve got some special fun headed your way. We hear it’s going to be INCREDIBLE,” according to Android Central. Now you can say what you will but as far as we’re concerned it’s now a sure thing that the Incredible 4G LTE will be arriving next week, which of course also ties in with that previous July 5 date we heard about, though we have no confirmation of that date. What does seem certain though is that the Droid Incredible 4G LTE release is looming.

If you want a refresher of the main specs and features we can tell you that the Droid Incredible 4G LTE has a 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 4-inch Super LCD qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB with microSD), 8-megapixel rear camera and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat, Beats Audio and it all runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Are you pleased to hear of the HTC tweet regarding something INCREDIBLE on the way? Have you been waiting patiently for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE? Let us know with your comments.
