Airtime has been around for quite a while and it has made some wonderful advancement for making sure that specific content is not made available with for children that are underage, or that X-rated content is not transmitted through the airwaves. While Airtime has made advancements in leaps and bounds there are several other options available to you other than Airtime for video chatting or conferencing.

Google +
Google + is a great option for individuals that want to get together and chat online, share videos, and not be limited to chatting with a single person. Google +, also known as Google Hangouts, are the perfect place to share YouTube videos or talk with up to 10 of your friends at a time. It is important to understand that you may have to sacrifice a little bit of the quality in the video for each additional person that you are chatting with or videos that you are watching or loading. The only downside to the Google + video chatting option is that you have to be invited in order to get a Google + account.

Skype
Skype is one of the most well known video chatting options available today. It is a wonderful way for you to be able to communicate with individuals through video chatting, text messaging, or voice. You do have to sign-up for an account and get a username. There are even premium options that will allow you to have extra features like group chatting, but while the basic version of Skype is free the premium version will cost money.

Facebook
Facebook now has a video chat option that is available and will even link in with your Facebook account. The Facebook team is definitely working on building a better video chatting system. They have made the Facebook video chat public, but they have not promoted it the way that they do a lot of their new releases such as the Timeline change to their layout. You can access their video chat, but you have to track down the web address in order to download the plug-in that you need in order to use it. The video quality is decent, plus you have the added benefit of being able to video chat why you are enjoy a lot of the games and other add-ons on Facebook.

ooVoo
ooVoo is video chatting software that is very much like Skype. It offers almost the exact same set of amenities that Skype does, but it just happens to be another version. Some people find that Skype does not work well with their Internet connection. They find that if they do not have an excellent Internet connection than they have problems with the video freezing on Skype, or sometimes they have problems with the video loading. ooVoo tends to work better with some connections than Skype does and that is why some people tend to prefer ooVoo to Skype.

Camfrog
Camfrong is a great way to network or meet new people online through video chatting. It is like taking the creation of chat rooms and adding video. It is still growing in popularity, but it has some great features that are perfect for meeting new people. It is rated extremely well with users, and you will most likely be seeing more about it in the future.

Eyeball Chat is a great benefit to those who enjoy talking with their friends online, and will work with your Yahoo, Google, AOL Instant Message, and many other contacts. It will allow you to get all the benefits of instant messaging, but you get to add in a little bit of video to add that additional flair to your online chatting experience.

Tinychat is a very exciting new online experience. It combines a little bit of online chatting with video conferencing, and then throws in a little bit of possible online dating. Tinychat is a place where people come to meet up with strangers to chat. You can simply sign-on and search, but if you begin to fill out your profile with interests than you will be able to find more people with common interests to chat.
