ChromeURL tweak adds perfect Google Chrome keyboard

If you are on the iOS platform, one of the complaints with Google Chrome is that for some reason the Google guys decided to leave out the top level domain (TLD) keyboard shortcuts, and opted to go with their own design layout. However if you are one of the iOS unfaithful that likes to tinker with their iPhone there is now a jailbreak tweak that resolves this issue.

According to the guys over at iDownload Blog, when using mobile Safari, the shortcuts enabled users to tap and hold the .com button which would then delivers a pop up giving access to a list of TLDs such as .net, .org, and so on, and now there is a fix for this in the form of a jailbreak tweak called ChromeURL.

With a purpose to perform only one function, to deliver that TLD pop up list, the ChromeURL jailbreak tweak is available from Cydia’s BigBoss repro for free, and will replace the Chrome keyboard with the same stock keyboard found in mobile Safari browser.

All you do with ChromeURL is install it, with no options or settings to configure, and just so you can see the ChromeURL keyboard in action on the iPhone, we have a video of the jailbreak tweak in action for your viewing consideration below, so don’t forget to head on down and mash that play button and check it out before dashing off to grab it.

So if you do own a jailbroken iOS device and opt to try out the ChromeURL keyboard, feel free to let us know whether you prefer this jailbreak tweak or the Google’s own custom keyboard by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
