HTC Desire C to get Rogers gripping hands

Android fans are able to choose from a vast range of handsets that cover most budgets and needs, and today we have news that the HTC Desire C may be arriving on Canadian carrier Rogers soon.

The carrier is already down to be receiving the Sony Xperia Ion, and as the Android Authority is reporting the carriers customers are being given a larger variety of high end smartphones to pick from. There are some consumers though that want a smartphone that doesn’t have all the latest features, and in turn be easier on the pocket, and the entry level HTC Desire C may be what’s needed.

It is believed that the carrier will soon be offering their customers the Desire C, although its availability has only been leaked via a screenshot that shows cases of the handset designated for the carrier. While Rogers has yet to confirm the handset is coming their way there is a good chance official confirmation is only days away.

The Desire C is not part of the flagship One range of smartphones, but the device still comes with a premium looking form factor. The smartphone features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor that is clocked at 600MHz. While the processor could do with being a little more powerful the Desire C still comes rocking the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which runs alongside the HTC Sense 4.0 Android overlay.

Other features include 4GB of on board storage that is expandable via the microSD card slot, 512MB of RAM, five megapixel rear camera, and NFC connectivity. In the countries that the Desire C is already available it is priced around the $250 mark, so hopefully it will be the same when it is available on Rogers.

Will you be considering the HTC Desire C on Rogers?
