Zattoo app for Android, perfect live streaming TV
If you are one of the Android faithful in Europe that enjoys watching live streaming TV on your chosen Android device, there is of course an Android app called Zattoo that brings both national and international television programmes to your Android device so you don’t have to miss any of those shows when on the go.
The Zattoo Live TV Beta app for Android devices is available to certain Android users in seven countries, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland and Luxemburg, and I say certain because the app is incompatible with my UK Samsung Galaxy S, so isn’t available to all Android devices in those countries.
The Zatoo Live TV Beta app does require you to subscribe to a Zattoo account, which can be completed from within the mobile app, with a subscription duration lasting between a month, 3-months and a year, which enables you to access Zattoo content via both your smartphone and the web.
Obviously the Zattoo Live TV app is in beta, and as such users may notice glitches in audio and video quality, although they are working on the issues, and users with recent Samsung Android handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Nexus S can try out an experimental mode via the settings menu in the Zattoo app.
However, if you are in France, Germany, Denmark or Luxemburg, you will need a WLAN or WiFi connection due to licensing reasons.
The Zattoo app for Android delivers live national and international TV with 50 channels in Germany , over 100 live TV channels in Switzerland, 40 live channels in Luxemburg, whilst in Spain the channels available include Telemadrid, Horas, Clan and more, Denmark includes Deluxe Music, SVT1, NRK1and NKR2, and more, France offers, France 1,2,3,4,5, Direct 8, TV8 Mont-Blanc, Virgin 17 and more.
For those that would like to take advantage of what the Zattoo Live TV beta app for Android has to offer, you can download the mobile app for free by hitting up Google Play.
