Staples free shipping on pre-ordered Google Nexus 7

The latest piece of tech from the Google camp is of course the Google Nexus 7, the world’s first 7-inch quad core tablet, and for those that prefer getting their mobile gear from Staples, you might like to know that Staples is now taking pre-orders for the Google Nexus 7 tablet.

According to the guys over at Toms Guide, Staples has now opened pre-orders for the Android Jelly Bean slate, whilst their website is listing just the 16GB Google Nexus 7 tablet for $249, however the devices does come with free shipping.

Apparently according to Staples the Google Nexus 7 has been scheduled for delivery between the 12th and 17th of July, for those that pre-order the 16GB Android Jelly Bean tablet online.

However apparently it appears that if you wish to purchase the 8GB Google Nexus 7, it will only be available in Staple stores and commands a price tag of 199-bucks plus tax.

The exec vice president of retail merchandising for Staples, Mike Edwards has said that they are thrilled to offer availability of ‘this amazing new product’, and when on to say, “We invite customers to come in and experience a live demonstration of Nexus 7 at one of our U.S. locations or enjoy the convenience of free shipping when ordering on Staples.com.”

I’m sure most are already aware of what the Google Nexus 7 has to offer, but here’s a quick reminder, a 7-inch back-lit HD IPS display, scratch resistant Gorilla Glass, NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, NFC (Android Beam), GPS, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, and a 4325mAh battery.
