Android Jelly Bean 4.1 custom ROMs including AOSP

Android is a good platform thanks to being open source, and many Android users will agree with this, the ability to maximising and customising the operating system as well as tweaking where applicable is a very good thing indeed.

Below we have a list of Android Jelly Bean 4.1 custom ROMs that you may find interesting by very clever developers, CyanogenMod has the popular CM10 who suggest that devices that are already supported on CyanogenMod to get Jelly Bean.

Google has made the new Jelly Bean build open sourced, so we know that there will be many more custom ROMs on the way, in the meantime please do check out these ones below courtesy of CNET. We would love to know if you have tried any of the ones listed below, if you have the commenting area provided below is there at your perusal.

First up is none other than the Endeavoru AOSP for the HTC One X; you may not like HTC Sense UI so why not give this one a go. This is stock Android 4.1, however things such the camera, Google Now and WiFi hotspot are not working, nether the less you may still like to give it a shot.

If you have the Samsung Galaxy S2 then how about “Jelly BeanNexuS OTA port”, you will see two versions here — the first is based on the open source Jelly Bean released by Google and the second on the Google I/O port. There are still a few problems such as Google Now, WiFi, camera, audio and Bluetooth still not working. Devs are working their butts off to fix these issues, the full working custom ROM will be working in full soon.

Last but not least is TAJB Jelly Bean port for the Samsung Galaxy S, this smartphone WILL NOT be getting Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 but developers are working on both ICS ROM as well as a Jelly Bean ROM. The camera in the above ROMs are not working but in this one it does, the things that are not working include SMS, Calling and data.
