Faster Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to soon after S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is doing very well indeed with sales, adding up to 10 million units sold up-to date and this adds up to around 190,000 Galaxy S3’s sold each day. The Samsung Galaxy Note done very well too and with the Galaxy Note 2 nearing release it brings us to one simple question, “How will it fair against the Samsung Galaxy S3?”

Benchmarks have been leaked online for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and it has been said to be faster than the Galaxy S3. We all know the S3 was clocked at 1.4 GHz with the quad core Exynos 4412 processor with Mali-400 graphics, but the Galaxy Note 2 has been clocked at 1.6 GHz. The puzzling bit, is that the screen resolution for the Note 2 comes in at 1280×720 pixels, and the predecessor is 1280×800, get those thinking caps on.

The Note 2 will apparently come running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, but a few sources have emailed us mentioning it will release with Jelly Bean, this is the case of wait and see for now. We have looked around, emailed many sources, and even asked numerous of people via our social networks about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and we found via International Business Times a few rumoured specs. The Note 2 is expected to come with a HD Super AMOLED Plus display with a regular RGB matrix, some are claiming that it may come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro.

Display sizes are definitely getting bigger; the iPhone 4S with a 3.5-inch screen, HTC Desire HD with a 4.3, the Samsung Galaxy S3 with a huge 4.8-inch display, and the first Note to release has a 5.3-inch display. The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to have the largest display in the smartphone range, so that means something bigger than 5.3-inches, and personally we think this is too big. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is probably as big as we would like to go.

The next Samsung Galaxy event is scheduled for August 15th and the Galaxy Note 2 is apparently going to be the showcase, some have suggested it could be the Galaxy Note 10.1; we will obviously keep you posted.

The first Note was released 11 months ago, the Samsung Galaxy S3 not so long ago, we believe that the S3 is having major success in sales at the moment and to release the Galaxy Note now is a little too soon in our eyes. Samsung has sold a cool 7-million units since release; the S3 smashes that number so how well will the Note 2 do?

The source above also suggests that the Galaxy Note 2 will be this years game changer, personally we do not think it will touch the Galaxy S3 but hey we could be wrong.

???? why is the display to big ? . If its to big for some people buy a s3 or a 1x , i love the notes size as its the ideal size for what i use a phone for in the environment i work in. I consume masses of media youtube and so on and is the ideal size for browsing the Internet. If it comes with a 5.5 display it does not mean the whole phone will be any bigger.

Hey, with all these different phones coming out, just may be, one of the makers will drop their prices to give them an edge… ok, it was just a thought.

I have only 4 more months left on my old trusty HTC Thunderbolt, which by the way, almost seemed antiquated (outdated) when it was finally release a little over two years ago.

I’d prefer it were bigger, that’s the whole point of the Note range.
I make about 3 calls a month, send endless texts and the news on the internet. Size is important so I am looking forward to this one.
