Amelia Earhart Google Doodle prompts mobile apps

In case you are not aware, Amelia Earhart was born this day in the year 1897, and Amelia was the first American pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic, and was a recipient of the US Distinguished Flying Cross for doing so. She was also instrumental in forming The Nighty-Nines, an organisation for women pilots, along with being the author of many books on her flying experiences, and today the Amelia Earhart Google Doodle prompts mobile apps.

Moving onto iOS we have the Amelia Earhart: Unsolved Mystery Club HD app for the Apple iPad. An app that is a hidden object adventure game whereby the user has to locate hidden artefacts, master perplexing mini-games, and solve puzzles.

With the Amelia Earhart: Unsolved Mystery HD app the users will need to put on their thinking cap whilst going through detailed scenes to try and solve the mystery , and learn more about Amelia’s flying passion along the way. The Amelia Earhart: Unsolved Mystery HD app is free from iTunes; however there is a full version of the app available at a cost of $4.99.

Lastly there is the Audiobook: Amelia Earhart, an app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple iPad, and is a biography of the exceptional woman in Spanish. Amelia tragically disappeared on the 2nd of July 1937 whilst flying over the Pacific, and this app is an audio book of Amelia’s life and times.

Obviously the Audiobook: Amelia Earhart app isn’t for everyone, but rather for those that understand Spanish, but if you do and wish to download the app you can do so at a cost of £1.99 by hitting up iTunes.
