LG Spectrum 2 for Verizon pops up on CelleBrite

If you are over in the good old US of A and have a preference for LG smartphones, especially the LG Spectrum on Verizon, and have been wondering whether an LG Spectrum 2 would be hitting the Big Red at some point, you need wonder no more, as the successor to the Spectrum is on its way.

According to the guys over at Phone Arena by way of Intomobile, the guys at Talk Android have spotted the LG VS930 listed in the Verizon CelleBrite system, and as we already know, VS930 is the codename for the LG Spectrum 2.

For those that may not be aware, the CelleBtire system is used by carriers to transfer your data from your old smartphone to your new smartphone so the users doesn’t have to.

Spec wise, the LG Spectrum 2 offers the user 4.7-inch True HD touch screen along with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera, a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, is a 4G LTE enabled handset, runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and is basically an LG Optimus LTE 2 that has been tailored for the Big Red.

However, although spotting the LG Spectrum 2 in Verizon’s CelleBrite system, there is still no hard and fast word on just when the Big Red will actually release the ICS smartphone on their network, although one could hopefully expect an official announcement from Verizon at some point in the not too distant future.

Any of our US readers hoping to snap up the LG Spectrum 2 once it hits the mobile space?
