T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note release date and price revealed

Away from its successful Galaxy S range of handsets Samsung has also seen the Galaxy Note sell quite well with a huge number of owners loving their smartphone tablet crossover. For customers of T-Mobile in the US though the handset has not been available officially until now, as the carrier has now revealed the release date and pricing for the Galaxy Note.

Only last week we told you that the device was getting closer to a release on the network after it appeared on the company’s website, and now as the Android Community are reporting the carrier has revealed when its customers can get hold of the handset and how much it will cost them.

T-Mobile users will finally have access to the Galaxy Note from the 8th of August with its impressive 5.3-inch display that can make use of the S-Pen stylus for note taking and playing games among other things. The device has been available internationally and on AT&T for a while now, but the smartphone will come running the Android 4.0.4 Ice cream Sandwich operating system straight from the box.

Price wise consumers looking to pick the Galaxy Note up will have to pay $249 after a $50 mail in rebate, which is on condition of taking up a new two year contract. There will be some raised eyebrows at the upfront price for the device considering it’s getting on for a year old now, and thoughts have recently turned to its replacement.

The carrier is also offering its usual payment plan for the Galaxy Note with an upfront payment of $199.99 followed by twenty equal payments of $20 per month with T-Mobile’s Equipment Instalment Plan. Some customers of the carrier may find it surprising that T-Mobile is releasing the original Galaxy Note now just as the new model is due for release, but others will be happy at its availability.

Will you be getting the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note on the 8th of August?

Somehow this: “The carrier is also offering its usual payment plan for the Galaxy Note
with an upfront payment of $199.99 followed by twenty equal payments of
$20 per month with T-Mobile’s Equipment Instalment Plan.” doesn’t add up to $299 before a $50 rebate.
