FLASHr case for iPhone delivers LED flash notifications

If you are one of the iPhone faithful out there you’ll know that there is no external indicator on your iOS smartphone for notifications, which basically means that if you don’t see a push notification coming through you have to unlock your device to find out if you have missed any messages or calls.

However, that could all change in the future if a kickstarter project called FLASHr gets off the ground. The FLASHr project is brought to our attention by the guys over at iDownload Blog, and is an iPhone case that uses reflective aluminum plating to ricochet light for the iOS smartphone’s camera flash to use as Flash Alerts via its translucent frame.

FLASHr is for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S and is powered by the flash notification feature in iOS, and will light up every time the user receives a text, call, email and all push notifications such as games, Facebook, Twitter, or any app.

The FLASHr case for iPhone apparently puts on quite a bright light show whenever it is activated, and if you want to snap an image, Photography mode slides a little cover aside to reveal the camera flash.

The FLASHr case for iPhone project is currently looking for a funding goal of $75,000 to get off the ground, and has thus far managed to garner pledges to the tune of $25,498 with 22-days to run, and of course we have a couple of videos showing off the FLASHr case for your viewing pleasure below.

Thus if you believe that the FLASHr case for iPhone is a case you would find handy on your own iOS smartphone, you can of course make a pledge by hitting up the Kickstarter page. Any of our iPhone toting readers out there think the FLASHr case is something for them?
