Android ICS MediaPad 10 FHD ships September

If you remember, Huawei unveiled their MediaPad 10 FHD tablet way back at Mobile World Congress 2012, with an original expected release for some time in Q2, however obviously the company experienced some delay with the Android slate, and has now announced that the MediaPad 10 FHD will finally start shipping globally in September.

A report over on Unbergizo delivers the new on the Huawei announcement although Huawei didn’t give an acutal hard and fast date ion September, so one can presume it could be any time in the month, but with the likes of the Google Nexus 7 and the new iPad already out there, whether Huawei’s latest slate be able to contend remains to be seen.

As it has been such a while since we first heard of the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD, here’s a reminder of what the Android Ice Cream Sandwich slate has to offer, a 10.1-inch HD IPS touch screen along with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera, 1080p video, a 1.3 megapixel front facing snapper, HSPA+, 4G LTE, a 1.4GHz Cortex-A9 quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8/16/32/64GB internal memory versions, and microSD expansion, and a 1600mAh battery.

Currently there is no word on whether Huawei will upgrade the MediaPad 10 FHD to Android Jelly Bean, and there is still not real word on just how much the slate will command once it becomes available next month, but the tablet will be getting its own keyboard dock at some stage.

So there you go, if the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD seems like the Android ICS tablet that you would like to own, you should be able to get your hands on the device sometime over the coming weeks.
